Collection 12963 is Hebeloma paludicola. It is an isotype of heterotypic synonym Hebeloma hygrophilum Poumarat & Corriol (2016).

    Collection 12963 was collected by G. Corriol (08 09 25 03) on 25th September 2008 in Forets des Hares, Querigut, Ariege, FRANCE (approx. 42.6984°N, 2.0987°E, altitude approximately 1200 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Salicaceae (genus Salix) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as subalpine shrubland with a substrate of boggy soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.
