Collection 13525 was collected by H.J. Beker on 10th September 2010 in Foret Domaniale de Boulogne Parcel 98, Pas de Calais, FRANCE (50.6831°N, 1.7207°E, altitude approximately 60 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal families Betulaceae (genera Carpinus and Corylus) and Fagaceae (genus Quercus) were present.
The surrounding habitat was described as deciduous woodland pathside with a substrate of calcareous soil and litter, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules. Pileus: 32–67 mm diameter; shape umbonate strongly; margin characters eroded; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting no; hygrophanous yes; colour variation unicolor; with colour at centre umber; and colour at margin not recorded; with remains of universal veil no.
Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 7 mm; number of complete lamellae 59; tears absent; white fimbriate edge not recorded.
Stipe: 50–90 x 8–15 {median} x 6–12 {basal} mm; stipe Q 5.2–8.0; base cylindrical, tapering; floccosity fibrillose, floccose; rooting no; mycelial chords no.
Context: texture firm; stipe interior hollow, superior wick; stipe flesh discolouring from base very strongly; slenderness measure 8.0; smell fruit; taste not recorded.
Spore deposit colour: analysis not yet complete.
Exsiccata: dark, pileus blackening.

Basidia: 36.3–43.9 x 7.6–8.5 μm; ave. Q = 5.0; basidia spore nature not recorded.
Cheilocystidia: main shape clavate, gently clavate, cylindrical, lageniform; special features clamped septa, septa; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 1.03; A/B = 0.94; B/M = 1.11.
Pleurocystidia: no.
Ixocutis: epicutis thickness (measured from exsiccata) 60 μm; ixocutis maximum hyphae width 7 μm; ixocutis hyphae encrustation yes; shape of trama elements beneath subcutis isodiametric up to 20 μm wide.
Caulocystidia: caulocystidia maximum length 200 μm.
