Collection 17673 (herbarium acc. no. C-F-104149) is the holotype of Hebeloma arcticum.

    Collection 17673 was collected by H. Knudsen (16.119) on 14th August 2016 in Sisimiut, at the bridge on the road to the airport, W, GREENLAND (approx. 66.9443°N, 53.6704°W, altitude approximately 0 m above sea level - Google maps). No ectomycorrhizal plants were recorded.

    The surrounding habitat was described as arctic tundra, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     According to the GPS data the collection was in the Kalaallit Nunaat Arctic steppe WWF ecoregion The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) have divided the world into 867 terrestrial ecoregions.     Basidia: 25.3–36.7 x 7.2–9.1 μm; ave. Q = 3.6; basidia spore nature not recorded.

    Cheilocystidia: main shape clavate-stipitate, clavate-lageniform or clavate-ventricose; special features apical thickening, branching, septa; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 1.48; A/B = 1.18; B/M = 1.32.

    Pleurocystidia: no.

    Ixocutis: epicutis thickness (measured from exsiccata) 90 μm; ixocutis maximum hyphae width 6 μm; ixocutis hyphae encrustation no; shape of trama elements beneath subcutis isodiametric up to 15 μm wide.

    Caulocystidia: caulocystidia maximum length 80 μm.
