    Collection 17809 was collected by N. Siegel (2443) on 19th November 2017 in HBMS Show, Humboldt (or Trinity) Co., California, UNITED STATES (approx. 40.7799°N, 124.1279°W, altitude approximately 50 m above sea level - Google maps). No ectomycorrhizal plants were recorded.

    The surrounding habitat was described as not recorded.

    Stipe: 60–105 x 8–11 {median} x 5–7 {basal} mm; stipe Q 7.5–9.5; base tapering; floccosity fibrillose, pruinose at apex; rooting no; mycelial chords no.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior hollow; stipe flesh discolouring from base very strongly; slenderness measure 10.8; smell none; taste mild.

    Ixocutis: epicutis thickness (measured from exsiccata) 115 μm; ixocutis maximum hyphae width 8 μm; ixocutis hyphae encrustation yes; shape of trama elements beneath subcutis cylindrical up to 15 μm wide.
